What does the data say?
Children: The number of young people who participate in sporting activities three or more times a week has increased since 2012.
Adults: A lower proportion of women participate in three or more sporting activities a week than do men.
Direct comparisons across years should be made with caution due to the change in survey mode in 2020 and genuine changes as a result of the pandemic.
